The holographic concept was brought to greater prominence by Michael Talbot through his book 'The Holographic Universe'; Grafton Books; 1991,  in which he acknowledges the contributions of David Bohm, Karl Pribram, and many others.

The hyperlink below leads to a paper by Alan Williams which describes the historical development of the holographic concept of reality and leads on  to his own concepts. He contributed the paper to the Journal of  Consciousness Studies Internet Discussion Group and it resonated  with me. (I don't blame him for the above figure!).   His ideas are still under development, and his paper is  periodically updated.    Alan welcomes comment from specialists in the various disciplines which are relevant to this field of study.

Peter Marcer has developed a quantum holographic representation of reality. Parts of this have been published in fragments but a complete paper will be published in due course. It involves the use of advanced mathematical procedures which are rather inaccessible to non-specialists but it is a fascinating concept for general debate.  Brief mention of the developments will be found at:-.

Leon Maurer also has developed a holographic representation of reality.  This takes into account Eastern Mystical perceptions:-
