THIS ILLUSTRATES MY INTEREST IN IMAGING, NOT MY HOME ENVIRONMENT!
I'LL OWN UP, IT'S ME!
This site is about two of my principal interests that I enjoy sharing:- 1) Imaging, photographic but in recent years exclusively digital. 2) Science, metaphysics, and particularly the boundary between them. I like to keep a foot in both the science and the arts camps, in an attempt to balance rational and aesthetic drives. 1. PHOTOGRAPHY & DIGITAL IMAGINGCLICK HERE TO VISIT MY VIRTUAL GALLERY A selection of about 100 images, divided into nine themed panels. (The images are regularly updated, but just one or two at a time) The gallery index leads, via thumbnail images, to individual images conveniently sized to fit on computer monitor screens. Click on the link hg2_9hh in the frame below for a small selection of recent shots on the 'flickr' site where comments are invited
What motivates me; my progression from photography to digital imaging. Details of my equipment, and specifications of my images. A selection of favourite imaging sites on the World Wide Web
2. SCIENCE AND METAPHYSICSA) SCIENCE
An outline of my interests, with selected hyperlinks to specialist sites.
A glance at the relationship between science and society with hyperlinks for further study. B) METAPHYSICS"The greatest obstacle to discovery is not ignorance- it is the illusion of knowledge" (Daniel Boorstin).
Aspects of reality and the mind
thoughts about the journey, particularly regarding that age-old imponderable; the nature of consciousness. These outline discussions are sprinkled with hyperlinks to preferred specialist sites for anyone wishing to pursue the topics further.
Offered as a discussion document, this section includes conceptual figures suggesting, without getting too technical, that reality has more dimensions than our senses suggest. The latest scientific theories (e.g. string theory, M-theory) indicate that there are more than three dimensions of space, but beyond that, it is suggested that emotions are not generated by brain matter, rather they belong to other dimensions with which the brain is interfaced in a way that is still a mystery. Constructive criticism is welcome! "God is not dead: He is alive and well but working on a much less ambitious project!" (Graffito, London 1975) 3.
